Egham Swans FC Thank Everyone Following a Rollercoaster 2025 Year

Egham Swans Football Club would like to extend its heartfelt thanks to Councillor Robert King, Surrey County Council, Strodes Collegethe Windsor Forest Group, and Jeakins Coach Travel for their generous support this season.

Councillor King and Surrey County Council’s funding of our portable floodlights marks a significant milestone for the club. These lights will allow all our teams - our Children’s and Ladies’ squads - to train and play safely during the darker months, with the flexibility to set up in multiple areas.

Councillor Robert King has shown consistent dedication to supporting community sport and grassroots development across the local area. His involvement with Egham Swans FC reflects a genuine commitment to ensuring that children, young people, and adults have access to safe, inclusive, and well-resourced sporting opportunities. Surrey County Council’s support through this funding demonstrates their ongoing investment in community wellbeing, local engagement, and the long-term growth of accessible sport for all. Their contribution has had a tangible and immediate impact on our club, enabling us to improve facilities and provide better experiences for players of all ages and abilities.

We are also grateful to Strodes College and the Windsor Forest Group for their ongoing support in providing grounds and essential storage facilities. Their contributions ensure that Egham Swans FC can continue offering a safe, welcoming environment for players of all ages and abilities.

A special thank you goes to Andrew Jeakins and Jeakins Coach Travel for sponsoring our kits this season. Their support helps our players look professional and united on the pitch while strengthening pride and identity within the club.

This year has been a true rollercoaster for Egham Swans FC. We began 2025 positively with a relationship with Egham Town FC, aiming to support their youth provision and demonstrate their commitment to children’s football in the community. Unfortunately, as the year progressed, that relationship came to an end, presenting some challenges for our volunteers and committee.

Despite these challenges, there were many positive outcomes. Egham Town Ladies approached Egham Swans FC, seeking a more inclusive, supportive, and community-focused environment. Recognising the values and stability offered by our club, they chose to reform and become Egham Swans Ladies. Their energy and commitment have been a tremendous boost, and we are proud to welcome them fully into the Swans family.

Throughout all the ups and downs, our volunteers, supporters, coaches and sponsors have remained dedicated to maintaining a positive, safe, and welcoming football environment for players of all ages and abilities. The resilience shown by everyone involved has reinforced the spirit and strength of Egham Swans FC.

We would also like to express our sincere thanks to Antonio Tenorio and the Egham & Hythe Royal British Legion Club for their continued warmth and support towards Egham Swans FC. Their generosity in welcoming our members and allowing us to host our Awards Evening in December 2025 is deeply appreciated, and we are grateful for their commitment to our local community.

On behalf of the club, we express our deepest appreciation to you all. Your continued commitment allows Egham Swans FC to grow, thrive, and shine, both on and off the pitch.
